MidAmerica Family Treatment Center

Children who have experienced separation from their primary caregiver, neglect at home or in an institutional setting such as an orphanage or have been in foster care often have a difficult time settling into a family. They struggle with trust, empathy, amd self control. Sometimes these struggles create divisions a family that wants nothing more than to give a child a home. MidAmerica Family Treatment Center works with the entire family through therapy, support and a rebalancing of the family system.
MAFTC is a medicaid provider in Kansas and Missouri so can provide services to foster families too.

Lynn Barnett, LMSW is a licensed social worker with 20 years of experience as a helping professional. She is also an adoptive parent to two children and a social worker trained in child welfare, foster care and adoption.
