Description
The Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) provides Soldiers with counseling, employment, and education workshops, as well as seminars that help prepare Soldiers to successfully transition off of active duty.
The program provides tools and resources to help Soldiers make informed career decisions, be competitive in the workforce, and continue to provide positive contributions to their community after completing their active duty service. Family members and DA Civilians are also eligible for these services.
SFL-TAP is a "commander's program" that requires leadership involvement during a Soldier's transition process. All Soldiers with 180 days of continuous active duty service, and not in a training status, are required to meet the Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) compliance and complete Career Readiness Standards (CRS).
Soldiers should attend SFL-TAP 18 months prior to transition and 24 months prior for retirees. Contact us at 913-684-2227, Center, visit the Virtual Center at www.sfl-tap.army.mil, or call 1-800-325-4715 to start today.
