The Fuller-Thompson American Legion Post 48 meets on the second Monday of each month for at 7:00 PM near the South Lake. at 1507 S Elm St in Garnett, KS.
Anyone who served federal active duty during the following dates and was honorably discharged or are still serving can join the American Legion: 8/2/1990 - present (Persian Gulf/War on Terrorism), 12/20/1989 - 1/31/1990 (Operation Just Cause - Panama), 08/24/1982 -7/31/1984 (Lebanon/Grenada), 2/28/1961 - 5/7/1975 (Vietnam), 6/25/1950 - 1/31/1955 (Korea), 12/7/1941 - 12/31/1946 (World War II), 4/6/1917 - 11/11/1918 (World War I).
